All Wings West body kits are shipped with 3M Double Face Tape pre attached to the parts. This is the same type of tape
that the car manufacturers use to attach body kits and moldings. We use special chemicals to prepare the surface of the
part, so if you remove the tape or have to replace it you will need to follow the recommended procedures outlined in our
step-by-step instructions to insure good contact. In addition to the double face tape, we always include screws in the
wheels wells for the side skirts and in the front and rear bumpers for the air dams and rear skirts.  On all of the our 
front and rear Bumper Replacements they are designed to be installed by using the original factory hardware, clips and
screws etc.

No, we do not recommend the original reinforcement by removed. On some front and rear bumper replacements you do have to remove the foam support cushion or trim the reinforcement a little bit, but we do include instructions that say how and where to cut. This does not change the shape of the car after the cut.

Some side skirts apply right over the factory side skirts and some do require removing the factory side skirts. In the instructions it will specify step-by-step on how to install your side skirts. Read the instructions prior to removing any factory parts.

The double-sided tape we use is made by 3M and is the same material that the Auto Manufacturers use to secure the
factory parts like Moldings, Body Kits etc. It is designed to be strong enough to hold a kit, but we do not recommend
just using the tape. We recommend that you use screws we supply to secure the body kit to the car.

Yes, we do recommend that you adhesion promoter to prepare the surface of the paint. The adhesion promoter leaves
a thin clear polymer film on the clear coat surface and increases the bond of the double-sided tape. The tape will adhere
to the paint surface without the adhesion promoter but with it the adhesion is improved greatly. We do not supply the
adhesion promoter with the kits we ship because the material is flammable and cannot be shipped without special
packaging.  The adhesion promoter can be purchased from most 3M distributors.

An AIR DAM is attached to the factory bumper, either over or under the front or rear bumper. A BUMPER COVER
REPLACEMENT, completely replaces the factory front or rear bumper.

URETHANE is short for Polyurethane, the same material that the Auto Manufacturers use to make the original factory
bumpers. The advantage of urethane is that it is flexible and will not crack. The flexibility makes it a lot easier to install
the part on your car.  While FIBERGLASS is rigid and can crack or fracture even with a minor impact. Fiberglass is not
flexible and therefore harder to install because it is not as forgiving as the urethane. When fiberglass is damaged it
requires special procedures to repair it.

If a bake booth is available,the first step is to bake all urethane parts for 2 hours at 80 degrees.
If you do not have a bake booth, placing the parts in the sun, or use of a hair dryer will work fine.
This will allow the part to sweat out oils in the urethane and any trapped gases. Then thoroughly clean the
part inside and out with a silicone remover or comparable wax and grease remover. We recommend using
7090 Spies Hecker Brand silicone remover. Using a spray bottle, spray the outside of the part with silicone
remover and at the same time scuff the surface to a dull finish with a 3M 7447 Scotchbrite Pad. After scuffing
the part again clean the surface with the 7090 using a clean rag.
Surface Inspection and minor defect repair
Inspect the surface for defects ie: scratches, nicks, etc. and spot repair with Spies Hecker Fine Putty
#7715. After the putty dries, sand the putty smooth with 3M Soft Back Fine Grit Sanding Sponge. Again
clean the surface again with 7090 cleaner.
Plastic Adhesion Primer Application
Apply the 3304 plastic adhesion primer to the part surface. Allow to dry for 5 minutes.
Primer Application
Apply the first coat of Tip Top #1255 Brand Primer to the part surface, the first coat should be a light coat.
Allow to dry 5-10 Minutes. Apply a second wet coat of Tip TOP primer #1255, Allow to dry for 10-15 minutes.
If heat is available put the parts in the oven for 1 -1/2 hours at 90 degrees to fully cure the primer.
Remove from oven, allow to cool down and thoroughly wet sand with 3M 500 grit wet sand paper along
with a solution of Simple Green and water. Final clean the part surface with Spies Hecker #7090 Silicone
Remover. The part is now ready for base coat paint. Apply base coat & clear coat per manufacturers'
